The creators of the cover on the
famous Car and Driver magazine wanted to right away point out this magazine
talks about a few different vehicles. One being a Porsche 911 GT3 the other
being a McLaren 570ST. Right below the two supercars it says F-150 vs F-150
implying there will be a comparison maybe against the same truck but different model,
or same truck different year. Making the reader wonder what F-150 vs F-150
means. Can you imagine Driving any of these two cars?
Right of the bat this cover is showing different types of ethos. One being the
magazine title being Car and Driver, which in the car world is a very reputable
brand. That only puts out information by people that are experts about cars,
former or current pro race car drivers and other big name brands like Michelin,
Toyo Tires and Shell. Also, showing that there are very big name brands that a
lot of people recognize, Porsche, McLaren, Mazda, Audi, Ford, Chevy, Mazda, Volkswagen
and even the very recently popular that has been all the news for braking world
records Tesla.
The colors on this cover are
colors that are going to draw the attention to the eye. Example (Red is a very
emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration
rate, and raises blood pressure.) The point where it says increased hart rate
would be the exhilarating thrill of red lining the 500+ horsepower car to its
maximum speed. And increased blood pressure can symbolize of the focus needed
to drive such cars. OR (Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness,
creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation)
orange is even more powerful since it not only the color of my personal dream
car. But shows enthusiasm and joy of when people see these cars in real life.
Determination and success would be correlated because everyone thinks “wow you
must be insanely successful to purchase one of the two 200 thousand dollar
cars.
Can you imagine driving any of
these two cars? Well I can say I sure can imagine. IT has been a lifelong dream
to drive both of those cars. On my free time, I just day dream launching in a quarter
million-dollar car drop the clutch and letting all 500 hp get the best of me!
