The right to die?

The right to die? A very debatable topic here in the United States it is illegal to have an assisted suicide and or a (PAD) which is a physician aid in dying. But here are the few states that are legal  Washington DC, California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington; its status is disputed in Montana.  And in the religion of hindu they are allowed to commit suicide, by starvation to the point of death. Also before they commit suicide they must have a terminal diseases or those who have no desire, ambition or no responsibilities remaining. In my opinion the people who practice Hinduism are being denied the first Amendment which is part of the right to practice any religion.
Jainism has a similar practice named Santhara. Other religious views on suicide vary in their tolerance, and include denial of the right as well as condemnation of the act. In the Catholic faith, suicide is considered a grave sin. What is your stand?

First Amendment

Over the course of the beginning of the United states and event the beginning of man kind our rights have changed. Here is my favorite amendment I reserve here as a united states citizen the then and now comparisons. The first amendment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." A amendment that gives us many right's that many people in the world do not obtain. A good of example would be the stories in the Christian bible, how many Christians would be killed just over saying they are Christian and have different belief. Those people with different religions other then what our leader believes in are now protected. Now days in the U.S There is just about every religion in the world practiced all over the united states Freedom of speech in some countries the citizens are not allowed to express their personal thoughts and opinions. Here in the state we are reserved the right to form assembly and protest to get a point across. Or put out on flairs and even blogs like this about our opinion.
